Embracing Intuition

There’s an unmistakable magic that manifests when a group of like-minded people get together for some light-hearted fun.

Yesterday, I attended my very first oracle card workshop with some very dear friends. We’re always on the lookout for something new and enriching where we can freely engage in a supportive and creative space and this informative workshop was the perfect fit.

It really is a true gift and blessing to have these friendships, especially through the bends and bumps of life’s diverging pathways. In all the busyness of daily life, how wonderful is it to fill a room with laughter, share the joy of anticipated adventure, gain knowledgeable insights and find strength within our own vulnerabilities.

The workshop was so much more than just looking through pretty cards, which were beautifully illustrated with very constructive messages. Choosing a deck that speaks to the heart can bring forth themes and ideas that validate inner wisdoms which are all too often eroded through self-doubt and over-thinking in the absence of helpful guidance.

Oracle cards are designed to encourage intuition and inner knowing, allowing a very personal interpretation of the artwork, meaning and message. I do believe that we all have the innate ability to tap into our intuition if we are open to tuning in and listening.

The great thing about intuition is that what makes sense to one person, someone else will miss completely, presenting one of the many benefits of getting together in a small group where thoughts and feelings are openly and honestly expressed.

Sometimes we just need a gentle reminder, a confirming affirmation or a ‘nod’ in the direction that resonates. We may need a guiding nudge to get out of our comfort zone or perhaps a different perspective entirely.

Even though I was very tired when coming home and didn’t sleep the best, my morning meditation the next day held a depth of insight not previously experienced even though the topics considered were exactly the same.

We’re in a beautiful time of transition right now where possibilities are becoming tangible, where we’re waking up to the truths of our purpose and potential not only for the good of ourselves but for the good of our broader community and for all of humanity.

We’ve all heard the countless references of shining our light to the world and being our best and brightest selves and while the premise of this is very uplifting, it’s often the vibration we create in very practical terms that ripples out to make a difference, regardless of whether our light is on or not. After all, we aren’t a bunch of enlightened glow worms!

Following our wonderful workshop, hearty lunch and the delights of afternoon strolling, I had to make an early leave for home and by this time, had separated from the group.

Rather than panicking about not being able to meet up and say our goodbyes for the day, I was able to leave in the knowledge that my friends would work out what had happened and we would just catch up whenever. This is the comfort and security of supportive and non-judgemental friendship.

So I left the day being grateful for old friends and making new ones too; being grateful for the insights I was given, the ones I was able to share and a newfound appreciation for embracing my intuition and the awareness that is yet to unfold.

Thank you to the lovely Kerrie, for hosting the workshop at the Healing Waters Cottage, Maleny.

If you’ve enjoyed this post, buying me a coffee would be wonderful. Thank you💐
